In developmentCross-border P2P payments straight to mobile money
A peer-to-peer payment app that sends money across borders directly to the recipient’s mobile money wallet, with no agent office or opening hours in the way.
- Role
- Founder & fullstack developer
The problem: it happened to me
I was paid late by a client abroad. The money went through a remittance service like Western Union, but the offices were closed when I needed to collect it, and the time difference between my client and me meant waiting even longer.
In Uganda most people already live on mobile money. Collecting an international payment shouldn’t depend on an agent office being open; the money should land on your phone.
The idea
A P2P payment platform where someone in one country can send money to a person in another, and it arrives directly in the recipient’s mobile money wallet.
- Send person-to-person across borders
- Funds go straight to the recipient’s mobile money account
- No office opening hours or collection trips
- Built for freelancers, families and small businesses who are paid from abroad
